Updates on MSOE

After winning the first game of the season, the sailing has not been as smooth for the MSOE Red Raiders. The team has dropped six in a row as they head into their last day of action in Florida with a doubleheader against Hanover.

The Red Raiders' offense has been surprisingly good considering they have started four freshmen in all four games and have another freshmen who has started a pair of games. As a team the Raiders are batting .344 through their first four games.

A real surprise has been freshmen Derek Jordan. The outfield has come out of the gates red hot going 6-12 with 1 HR 2 doubles and 7 RBI. Not far behind him, is his freshmen counterpart and clean-up hitter Jacob Roberts batting .462.

The pitching staff is young and inexperienced which has shown during the week. as their ERA through four games has been over 12.

The Florida trip may not look pretty record-wise for the Red Raiders but getting freshmen players acclimated to the college game is a big deal and this trip will serve as a definite learning experience.
