Oshkosh Sweeps Plateville, Takes Series 3-1
The UW-Oshkosh Titans defeated the UW-Plateville Pioneers 11-1 and 8-3 to win the opening WIAC series three games to one.

In game one the Titans exploded for 11 runs on just nine hits in the opener. Nolan Fadness and Derek Layton led the way for the Titans with two hits each. Tyler Kamps, Kyle Van Abel and Layton all contributed two RBI. Fadness scored three times while Derek Hiroskey, Sean Grabig and Layton scored two each. 

Luke Westphal picked up the victory for Oshkosh going all seven innings and allowing just one run. He struck out seven batters and only allowed six base hits. 

In game two, the Titans smashed out 14 hits led by Kamps 3-5, two RBI and one run performance. Fadness went 2-2 with three runs scored. Troy Mrkvicka got the win pitching seven innings and allowing three earned runs. Andrew Murphy worked two scoreless frames to close the game out.

Whitewater Takes Two More Games from Superior to Sweep Series 
Riley Tincher and Jeff Donovan pitched the Whitewater Warhawks to 3-0 and 15-2 victories on Sunday to sweep the four game series against UW-Superior.

In game one, Tincher pitched a complete game shut out striking out 11 batters and allowing just five hits. Andrew Eichstaedt and Matt Beyer led the Warhawks with two hits a piece. Dan Putnam, Donovan and David Cladis each knocked in a run. For Superior, Rhett Williamson had two of the five hits.

In game two, Donovan picked up the victory on the hill working seven innings and striking out nine. He also led the offense with three hits, three runs and one RBI. Cladis had two more hits in the game and scored two runs and one RBI.
