Weekends Top Performers

Doug Dekoning


Dekoning went 7 for 13 over the weekend including a career day with  two home runs and five RBI in the series opener at nationally ranked Arkansas. The senior went 2-5 in game two and capped the series by going a perfect 3-3. In total, he scored four runs and added a stolen base in the series


 

Alex Norman

Norman opened the Buccaneers season with a complete game shut out of Webster University. The junior allowed just five hits in the seven inning game. Norman didn't yield any walks and struck out two. The Buccaneers ended up winning the game 3-0 but lost the second half of the double header 9-5.





Rob Coe


Rob Coe opened up his 2011 campaign for Whitewater going 5-7, with a walk, two HBP, three runs, eight RBI and a home run in two games vs. Washington University. The catcher had four RBI in each game as Whitewater went on to sweep Washington U. in the two game series.







Dan Putnam

Dan Putnam dis his best to top Coe in the series as he was only retired once all weekend. The senior out of Ashland, Wisconsin went 8-9 with two walks and six runs in the same two game series.
